When I was in primary school, I toyed with the idea of being a doctor when I grew up. This thought was probably influenced by the fact that my mother, known to people as Dr Albina Kramer-Krajnc, was a specialist in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Maribor Hospital, which meant that I was exposed to medicine on a daily basis.
My first work experience was at the Health Centre in Ljubljana. Soon after successfully completing my professional exam, I looked for a job closer to my hometown.
